New eLearning licence for office IT skills goes on duty at Avon and Somerset Constabulary
England's Avon and Somerset Constabulary has taken up one of our two new e-learning licences that are designed to help police forces deliver essential IT and business skills training.
Our new e-learning licence provide one year of unlimited access to our 16 Office IT skills courses that cover MS Office applications as well as Internet Explorer, Windows 98 and Windows 2000.
The new e-learning courses will supplement the traditional training on offer, enabling officers and support staff - particularly those in remote sites - to brush up on their IT skills when it is convenient for them by accessing training over the constabulary’s intranet, from their workstation.

Graham Rain, IT Training Manager at Avon and Somerset Constabulary, said: “(these) e-learning courses give a good working knowledge and understanding of the relevant applications. They make it easier for us to deliver office skills training, enabling us to concentrate more on providing training in our own bespoke software programmes. By making people more computer-literate, they will help to make the constabulary more efficient.”
